New!! Trialling reserve cart functionality

You've told us and we've listened.

Especially on launch day, you tell us how frustrating it is to put something in your basket, only for it to disappear before you've paid.  We get it.

So we have made a change which we hope will help.

Now when you put something in your basket, you can reserve the item for a short time, to give you a chance to add other items and make a payment.  We've set it so that items can be reserved for 7 minutes.  Hopefully that is sufficient time for you to complete the transaction without the item disappearing, and improve the experience.

We will review after the upcoming release to see if it helped and whether 7 minutes is about the right length of time.  Please do let us know how it goes, good or bad.  We really hope it takes some of the stress out of launch day for you.

How does it work?

For this, you will need to be logged into your Glitterally account. You will notice a red "Reserve" link under each item you add to your cart. You have to press it for each item you have added to the cart.

You can only reserve one item for each design. You will see a confirmation window:

If you try to reserve more than one item you will receive an error message:

 

Once the reservation is complete, you will see a red timer underneath each item:

From here you can proceed to payment in the usual way. It is essential that you press the "Check Out" button before the timer runs out on any of your reserved items, otherwise the expired item is returned to stock and can be reserved by somebody else.

We hope the new functionality works smoothly, but we won't really know until launch day. We look forward to hearing your thoughts on this.
